BENVARDEN ESTATE
BENVARDEN GARDENS
An historic garden
In his book "Gardens of Ireland", Terence Reeve-Smyth describes Benvarden as having one of the few fully-maintained walled gardens in Ireland and one the best in private hands.
The walled garden of 2 acres is divided into a flower garden and a vegetable and fruit garden. There are extensive pleasure gardens including a pond, river and Victorian bridge.
DOGS
While dogs are not allowed in the walled garden, they are permitted in the grounds on leads and poop-bags must be used.
Garden Opening Times
The gardens are now closed until the Spring except by appointment.
Please contact us if you would like to visit anytime or book a Group Visit, a date for Wedding Photographs or any other event.
