An historic garden
In his book "Gardens of Ireland", Terence Reeve-Smyth describes Benvarden as having one of the few fully-maintained walled gardens in Ireland and one the best in private hands.
The walled garden of 2 acres is divided into a flower garden and a vegetable and fruit garden. There are extensive pleasure gardens including a pond, river and Victorian bridge.
DOGS
While dogs are not allowed in the walled garden, they are permitted in the grounds on leads and poop-bags must be used.

Garden Opening Times
The gardens open at Easter -
Friday 3rd April to Monday 6th April
11am - 4.30pm
and thereafter on
Weekdays - 10am-4pm
plus Fridays, Saturdays and
Sundays 11am - 4.30pm when the Stableyard Tearoom will be open.
Please make bookings for larger groups which we welcome, including coach tours.
Please also contact us if you would like to book a date for Wedding Photographs or other photo shoots and events.
If you would like to volunteer in the garden, please also contact us - skills required are gardening, carpentry and repointing.

Adult £8.50
Aged 12-17 £6
Family £24 (2 adults + 2 children)
